Fourier Analysis of Cephalometric Shapes
The Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal, 1996Craniofacial growth and development involve both size and shape variations. Shape variations can be assessed independently from size using mathematical methods such as the Fourier series. A method for the reconstruction of outlines starting from selected landmarks and for their Fourier analysis has been developed and applied to analyze the age ...

Cephalometric Analysis for the Surgeon
Clinics in Plastic Surgery, 1989A protocol for cephalometric analysis is presented to enable the clinician to evaluate the craniofacial skeleton for surgery. Cephalometric tracing and analysis are described and applied to a clinical case. The three-dimensional cephalometric method and analysis are discussed for application in planning the correction of craniofacial asymmetry.

Cephalometric analysis of dentofacial normals
American Journal of Orthodontics, 1980A comprehensive cephalometric analysis of "normal" adults was accomplished by examining a carefully selected subject group. Fifty-six adult Caucasians with Class I skeletal and dental relationships and good vertical facial proportions were analyzed morphologically with a computerized craniofacial model.

Cephalometric Analysis: Part I
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1981A protocol for cephalometric analysis is presented to enable the clinician to evaluate the bony face by subdividing it into four components: 1. Vertical facial measurements 2. Horizontal midface measurements 3. Horizontal lower face measurements 4. Dental measurements. The clinician is encouraged to view the components alone and together.

Basilar multiplane cephalometric analysis
American Journal of Orthodontics, 1985This article presents a method of cephalometric tracing and analysis using the basilar view cephalogram and discusses its role in diagnosis and treatment planning. Landmarks and structures found in each of three separate basilar planes are defined and instructions for tracings are presented. The analysis is applied to the study of orbital hypertelorism,
