Introduction to micromechanics of ceramics. The system of operation of ceramic products

NOVYE OGNEUPORY (NEW REFRACTORIES), 2019
A system for the operation of ceramic products, for which they formulated the purpose, conditions and limits of functioning, the main and auxiliary functions, as well as interrelations with a higher level system and the environment, was proposed. It is shown that a detailed study of relationships in this system using the interdisciplinary methodology ...

Production of Cellular Ceramics by Gel Casting Ceramic Emulsions

Materials Science Forum, 2008
Cellular ceramics have been produced by several methods, giving a wide range of macrostructures and properties. This work describes a novel route to produce cellular ceramics based on the gel casting of emulsions consisting in an aqueous ceramic suspension containing water-soluble organic monomers and an emulsified insoluble liquid phase.

Production of yttria ceramics by gelcasting

2011
The production of yttria ceramics by green-gelcasting technique was developed through: (1) optimization of aqueous yttria slurries; (2) optimization of the gelcasting process; (3) thermal treatments and characterization of the final microstructures. Different dispersants were tested. Zeta potential characterization of the dispersed state was performed.

Ceramic Technology and Production

2012
AbstractThis article discusses Mesoamerican ceramic technology and production. Some of the most beautiful art objects of the ancient Western Hemisphere were created by Mesoamerican potters. Meticulously painted in multiple colors (“polychrome”), sometimes with delicately rendered, lifelike human figures, this pottery was nonetheless produced by simple ...
