Cryopreservation of Spermatozoa Prior and Post‐Orchiectomy in Patients With Testicular Germ Cell Cancer—Does the Timing Matter?

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Testicular germ cell cancer (TGCC) is the most frequent malignancy in young men of reproductive age. According to guidelines, semen cryopreservation should be performed prior to orchiectomy. Assessing a Model for a Complex Systemic Disorder—The Value of Male Mice With a Supernumerary X Chromosome for Klinefelter Syndrome Research

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Direct experimental investigation of Klinefelter syndrome (KS) in patients is limited because the syndrome manifests heterogeneously and affects multiple organ systems. Studying KS therefore requires a model that captures this complexity as accurately as possible while still permitting controlled experimental manipulation ...

Receptor kinetics: Binding flux‐based approaches offer complementary insight into how ligand binding evolves with time

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Background and Purpose Binding kinetics are essentially based on rate constants. Yet, this view has been challenged by the idea that ‘binding fluxes’ are dynamic and therefore more relevant. Those fluxes refer to the rate at which a target/receptor changes from one state into another through ligand/drug binding or a conformational change.
