ABSTRACT Understanding the nutritional ecology of orchids, particularly those in symbiosis with rhizoctonias, presents a complex challenge. This complexity arises partly from the absence of macroscopic fruit bodies in rhizoctonias, which impedes the acquisition of their stable isotope data.

First Report of Tagetes erecta Damping Off Caused by Ceratobasidium sp. from India
The Mexican marigold (Tagetes erecta) is cultivated commercially in India for medicinal, ceremonial, and decorative purposes. It is native to Mexico and the United States. The natural phytochemical thiophene extracted from T. erecta has been shown to have antibacterial activity.

First Report of Ceratobasidium sp. Causing Root Rot of Garlic in China
Garlic (Allium sativum L.) is an important cash crop in China. In the spring of 2018, stunted and chlorotic plants in some garlic fields were observed in Jinxiang, Shandong, and Feng Counties, Jiangsu Province, in China. The growth of symptomatic plants was weaker, with affected plants showing signs of apical chlorosis, wilting, and dieback.
