World Neurosurgery, 1985A case of lipoma in the cerebellopontine angle is reported. Intracranial lipomas are very rare, especially in the cerebellopontine angle. To our knowledge, only four cases, including our own, have been operated upon. Until now, total extirpation has not been possible.

Abstract A rare lesion, a gumma in the cerebellopontine angle, is reported. Gumma may mimic other more commonly occurring cerebellopontine angle tumors. The computed tomographic (CT) appearance and histological characteristics are discussed. The literature of cerebral gumma is reviewed.
