[Cerebral and general hemodynamics in elderly patients with cerebral circulatory disorders].
Zhurnal nevropatologii i psikhiatrii imeni S.S. Korsakova (Moscow, Russia : 1952), 1976The report is concerned with clinico-electrophysiological study of 112 patients of middle and old age with disorders of brain circulation. The obtained results depicting a cardio-vascular insufficiency were mainly seen in patients over 70 years of age. Changes of the heart activity negatively influenced the state of brain circulation.

In 50 patients with transient disorders of cerebral circulation due to hypertensive disease (27 cases), and combinations of hypertensive disease with atherosclerosis (23 cases) the authors by means of diluting Ewans blue stain (T-1824) studied the indices of general hemodynamics compared to that of REG data .

We studied the effect of deep hypothermia on cerebral hemodynamics during selective cerebral perfusion with systemic circulatory arrest.Ten anesthesized pigs were placed on cardiopulmonary bypass and cooled to a rectal temperature of 22 degrees C (n = 5) or 15 degrees C (n = 5).

Profound hypothermic circulatory arrest (PHCA) is followed by a transient period of increased intracranial pressure and a longer period of neurophysiologic dysfunction. To investigate the effect of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) with PHCA on cerebral hemodynamics, we used transcranial Doppler sonography to measure cerebral blood flow velocity in 10 ...

The effect of cavinton on the systemic (by the method of diluting Evans blue according to Stewart-Hamilton) and cerebral (by the method of rheoencephalography) hemodynamics was examined in 38 patients with chronic insufficiency of the cerebral circulation (CICC) in the presence of either atherosclerosis alone (n = 22) and its combination with arterial ...

[Cerebral hemodynamics in patients with circulatory encephalopathy].
Zhurnal nevropatologii i psikhiatrii imeni S.S. Korsakova (Moscow, Russia : 1952), 1992Overall 130 patients with circulatory (atherosclerotic) encephalopathy were examined for the clinical picture, cerebral hemodynamics, specific features of the treatment and catamnesis at different disease stages. Use was made of ultrasound, rheographic and radionuclide research methods for intracranial arterial and venous blood flow.

Cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) with total circulatory arrest (TCA) adversely affects the neurologic outcome of pediatric patients after cardiac surgery. This study is designed to determine the effects of pulsatile versus nonpulsatile perfusion on regional and global cerebral blood flow (CBF), cerebral metabolic rate of oxygen (CMRO/sub 2/), cerebral ...

The parameters of the general and cerebral hemodynamics were studied in 36 patients with chronic insufficiency of the cerebral circulation following papaverine administration. In patients with the early stages of the disease, papaverine elicited a decrease in the arterial pressure and the peripheral resistance to the blood flow.

The new dihydropyridine calcium antagonist isradipine versus nifedipine was tested in 41 patients with essential hypertension and cerebrovascular insufficiency. The tests have shown that isradipine shows all hemodynamic effects by significantly improving cerebral blood flow and it is better tolerated than nifedipine.
