Thermochemical Micro‐Explosion for Prompt Thrombolysis via Proximal Injection of Liquid Alkali Metal

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report a micro‐explosive thermochemical thrombolysis (METCT) therapy via injectable liquid alkali metal encapsulated in dimethyl silicone (LAM@oil). METCT enables prompt and safe vascular recanalization within 90 s. Critically, the LAM@oil system demonstrates significantly higher thrombolytic efficacy compared to clinically available thrombolytic ...

Studies on Cerebral Circulatory Hemodynamics Using Radioiodinated Human Serum Albumin (RISA)

open access: yesRADIOISOTOPES, 1964

Organoid Brain‐Machine‐Interface Devices for Central Nervous System Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We envision organoid brain‐machine‐interface (Organoid‐BMI) devices as new biohybrid bidirectional communication pathways to connect the human CNS and the external world for personalized CNS repair and regeneration. ABSTRACT Central nervous system (CNS) repair and regeneration suffer from tremendous clinical challenges due to current limitations in ...

Caveolin‐1 Stabilizes SERCA2 to Counteract Acute Kidney Injury via Suppression of Ca2+‐Dependent Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Distal Tubules

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In AKI, initial kidney injury upregulates the expression of Cav‐1, which subsequently binds to and stabilizes SERCA2 via its scaffolding domain and through deubiquitination, thereby regulating Ca2+ homeostasis and ER stress. Conversely, Cav‐1 deficiency accelerates SERCA2 degradation, triggering Ca2+ overload and ER stress, and ultimately exacerbating ...

HD‐tDCS Restores Perivascular AQP4 Polarization via PPARγ Modulation to Enhance Glymphatic Clearance After Intracerebral Hemorrhage in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HD‐tDCS promotes recovery after intracerebral hemorrhage by enhancing PPARγ‐dependent astrocyte remodeling in a mouse model of ICH. This process suppresses proinflammatory astrocytic activation, restores perivascular AQP4 repolarization, and improves glymphatic influx and efflux, thereby facilitating hematoma and perihematomal edema clearance and ...

Circulatory Effect of Cigarette Smoking, with Special Reference to the Effect on Cerebral Hemodynamics

open access: yesJapanese Circulation Journal, 1969
The circulatory effect of cigarette smoking on cerebral hemodynamics, blood pressure and pulse rate were investigated in four normal young men and eight elderly patients with mild diseases, all habitual tobacco smokers (10-20 cigarettes daily). (1) Decrease in cerebral vascular resistance (dilatation of cerebral blood vessel) and increase in cerebral ...

Perivascular Spaces as Determinants of Amyloid, Tau, and Vascular Biomarker Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)‐visible enlarged perivascular spaces (PVS) are markers of cerebral small vessel disease (SVD) and aging, processes implicated in both neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular pathologies. However, longitudinal positron emission tomography (PET) studies examining PVS as a mechanism underlying Alzheimer's disease ...

Mecanismo de centralização: da insuficiência placentária à adaptação circulatória fetal Brain sparing effect: from placental insufficiency to fetal circulatory adaptation
