Dipyridamole plus aspirin versus aspirin alone in the secondary prevention after TIA or stroke: a meta-analysis by risk [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Objectives: Our aim was to study the effect of combination therapy with aspirin and dipyridamole (A+D) over aspirin alone (ASA) in secondary prevention after transient ischemic attack or minor stroke of presumed arterial origin and to perform subgroup ...

Study on the efficacy of compound porcine cerebroside and ganglioside injection in patients with ischemic stroke: A randomized, single‐center, open‐label, prospective study

open access: yesIbrain, EarlyView., 2023
Compound porcine perebroside and ganglioside injection (CPCGI) was used to treat ischemic stroke. However, there was no clinical evidence of low‐dose CPCGI. We conducted a clinical study to analyze whether the clinical results of low‐dose and standard‐dose CPCGI in patients with ischemic stroke were different.

Posterior Cerebral Artery Infarction From Middle Cerebral Artery Infarction [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Neurology, 2005
While it is known that posterior cerebral artery (PCA) infarction may simulate middle cerebral artery (MCA) infarction, the frequency and localization of this occurrence are unknown. To determine the frequency of PCA infarction mimicking MCA infarction and the territory of the PCA most commonly involved in this simulation. We studied 202 patients with ...

Red Blood Cell Membrane Lipidomics: Potential Biomarkers Detecting Method for Plasma Volume Overload and Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events in Chronic Heart Failure Patients

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel RBC indicator, ESI, is better than the traditional RBC indicators and is associated with CHF prevalence and in‐hospital death. RBC membrane lipidomics, Cer 18:0;O2/16:0, and LPE 18:0, are associated with plasma volume overload and MACE in CHF patients, but these plasma lipids could not.

Cardio-cerebral infarction [PDF]

open access: yesHalo 194, 2021
Introduction/Objective Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and acute ischemic cerebral infarction (AICI) are both leading causes of death around the world. A simultaneous occurrence of these conditions is called a cardio-cerebral infarction (CCI). We are presenting a case of CCI detected in the prehospital setting as a rarity.
