The utility of perfusion CT and CT angiography on early diagnosis and the management of vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage [PDF]
Subarachnoid hemorrhage is one of the most important and dangerous neurologic emergencies worldwide. It is characterized by a sudden and severe headache caused most commonly by the rupture of intracranial aneurysm.

A novel intravital method to evaluate cerebral vasospasm in rat models of subarachnoid hemorrhage: a study with synchrotron radiation angiography. [PDF]
Precise in vivo evaluation of cerebral vasospasm caused by subarachnoid hemorrhage has remained a critical but unsolved issue in experimental small animal models. In this study, we used synchrotron radiation angiography to study the vasospasm of anterior

Can S100B predict cerebral vasospasms in patients suffering from subarachnoid hemorrhage?
Background: Protein S100B has proven to be a useful biomarker for cerebral damages. Increased levels of serum and CSF S100B have been shown in patients suffering subarachnoid hemorrhage, severe head injury and stroke.

Intra‐arterial infusion of fasudil hydrochloride to treat post‐traumatic cerebral vasospasm
Background The effect of intra‐arterial infusion of fasudil hydrochloride in patients with post‐traumatic cerebral vasospasm remains unclear. Here we report a case of intra‐arterial infusion of fasudil hydrochloride for post‐traumatic cerebral vasospasm.

Higher ventricular rate during atrial fibrillation relates to increased cerebral hypoperfusions and hypertensive events [PDF]
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is associated with cognitive impairment/dementia, independently of clinical cerebrovascular events (stroke/TIA). One of the plausible mechanisms is the occurrence of AF-induced transient critical hemodynamic events; however, it is presently unknown, if ventricular response rate during AF may impact on cerebral hemodynamics.

Effect of magnesium sulphate and milrinone on cerebral vasospasm after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage: a randomized study [PDF]
Background: Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage is an important cause of premature death and disability worldwide. Magnesium sulphate is shown to have a neuroprotective effect and it reverses cerebral vasospasm.

Cerebral vasospasm and eclampsia. [PDF]
We describe a patient who experienced focal cerebral and brainstem ischemia in the setting of postpartum eclampsia. Cerebral angiography showed spasm of large- and medium-caliber arteries. This case provides rare documentation that vasospasm may account for cerebral ischemia in eclamptic women with focal signs.
