Indicators of cerebral venous drainage with non-thrombotic disorders in extracranial veins

open access: yesСибирский научный медицинский журнал
The growing number of studies on cerebral venous circulation disorders associated with extrinsic stenosis of the internal jugular veins, as well as attempts to surgically influence the restoration of blood flow, are an indicator of the importance of this

HD‐tDCS Restores Perivascular AQP4 Polarization via PPARγ Modulation to Enhance Glymphatic Clearance After Intracerebral Hemorrhage in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HD‐tDCS promotes recovery after intracerebral hemorrhage by enhancing PPARγ‐dependent astrocyte remodeling in a mouse model of ICH. This process suppresses proinflammatory astrocytic activation, restores perivascular AQP4 repolarization, and improves glymphatic influx and efflux, thereby facilitating hematoma and perihematomal edema clearance and ...

Health‐related quality of life following total minimally invasive, hybrid minimally invasive or open oesophagectomy: a population‐based cohort study

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
All patients operated for oesophageal cancer in Sweden from 2013 to April 2018 were identified, and 246 patients were recruited to this population‐based nationwide Swedish study. The results show that longitudinal health‐related quality of life after minimally invasive oesophagectomy was similar to that of the open surgical approach.

Oral Delivery Systems for Food‐Derived Bioactive Peptides: Enhancing Stability, Bioavailability, and Health Benefits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Advanced delivery systems—including nanoparticles, nanoemulsions, liposomes, and hydrogels—protect food‐derived bioactive peptides from gastrointestinal degradation and bitterness. These systems enable pH‐responsive release, enhance intestinal absorption, and improve therapeutic efficacy against oxidative stress, metabolic disorders, cancer, and ...

Aberrant GRP78 Phase Transition Sustains Endothelial IRE1α Signaling and Drives Blood–Brain Barrier Failure in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Vascular Aβ40 corrupts GRP78 phase behavior in brain endothelial cells, sustaining IRE1α–TRAF2–JNK signaling and driving apoptosis, tight junction loss, and blood–brain barrier failure in cerebral amyloid angiopathy. Pharmacological IRE1α inhibition restores vascular integrity, reduces leakage, and improves functional outcomes, revealing a targetable ...

Rocket‐Inspired Sequentially Targeted Nanotherapeutics for Mitochondrial Regulation and Inflammatory Reprogramming in Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel neutrophil‐hitchhiking, rocket‐inspired nanoplatform is developed to cross the blood‐brain barrier for sequential, spatiotemporal drug delivery. By responsive surface transformation in the ischemic penumbra, it precisely targets mitochondria to suppress Drp1‐mediated fission.
