Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 1970Abstract 280 cases of cerebrovascular accidents in Accra are reviewed; stroke is a common problem there, ischaemic strokes predominate, and hypertension, diabetes and obesity are important associated factors. Other factors are considered and the resuks discussed and compared with strokes elsewhere.
