Characterization of SO2-poisoned ceria-zirconia mixed oxides
Abstract CeO2, ZrO2, and a series of CexZr1−xO2 catalysts with 1 wt.% Pd were exposed to fixed exposures of SO2 under oxidizing environments and then characterized by FTIR, pulse–reactor studies with CO and O2, and temperature-programmed desorption (TPD).

Inducing cationic high entropy on CeO2 modifies the structure, leading to increased oxygen diffusion and resistance to sintering. In turn, this leads to enhanced oxygen storage capacities without degradation, showing potential for oxidation catalysis.

Tetravalent doping of CeO2 : the impact of valence electron character on group IV dopant influence [PDF]
Fluorite CeO2 doped with group IV elements is studied within the density functional theory (DFT) and DFT + U framework. Concentration-dependent formation energies are calculated for Ce(1-x)Z(x)O(2) (Z = C, Si, Ge, Sn, Pb, Ti, Zr, Hf) with 0

A bespoke multilayer thin film configuration has been designed, which overcomes the material dependency of conventional isotope exchange Raman spectroscopy (IERS). This universal IERS methodology is efficient, non‐destructive and provides additional structural information and time resolution, which can be further extended to various isotopic elements ...

Ceria-Praseodymia Mixed Oxides: Relationships Between Redox Properties and Catalytic Activities Towards NO Oxidation to NO2 and CO-PROX Reactions [PDF]
A series of CexPr1−xO2−δ catalysts was prepared by co-precipitation method in alkali media. These catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption–desorption isotherms at −196 °C, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry combined with mass spectrometry (TG-MS ...

Preparation of high oxygen storage capacity and thermally stable ceria–zirconia solid solution
Ceria–zirconia solid solution is a very important material in three-way catalysts for automotive emission control. High oxygen storage capacity (OSC) and thermally stable Ce0.5Zr0.5O2 was prepared by a modified complexing–coprecipitation (CC) method, and
