Ceria‐Zirconia Supported Gold Nanoparticles for CO and Soot Oxidation
ABSTRACT This study introduces a gold nanoparticles catalyst (AuNPs) supported on ceria‐zirconia oxide, prepared by deposition‐precipitation (Au/CZ‐dep) and chemical reduction (Au/CZ‐red). The as‐prepared catalysts were tested in CO oxidation by O2 and soot oxidation under different oxidizing atmospheres (O2, NO2+NO+O2).

A dual‐atom catalyst with adjustable proximity effects is depicted, showing that variations in metal–metal interactions can modulate electronic structure, intermediate adsorption, and reaction pathways. These changes guide product selectivity in CO2 reduction and highlight design principles for efficient, tunable DAC systems.

Catalytic Properties of Well-Defined Ceria and Ceria-Supported Vanadia
Catalysts with well-defined surfaces are used to enhance the fundamental understanding of structure-function relationships which are hard to develop with polycrystalline materials whose surfaces are a complex mixture of various facets and defects. This dissertation reports the synthesis of ceria nanoshapes, (100) dominant cubes and (111) dominant ...

ABSTRACT Background and Aims HIV remains a global health concern, disproportionately affecting men who have sex with men (MSM). Discrimination, stigma, and other barriers in healthcare settings are common issues for MSM in Malaysia, resulting in sub‐optimal HIV testing and linkage to HIV prevention services.

Hole Polaronic Confinement in (111) Yttria‐Stabilised Zirconia
Ultrathin epitaxial YSZ(111) films unexpectedly develop p‐type mixed conduction and amplified electromechanical coupling under oxidizing conditions. Combined transport measurements and first‐principles modeling reveal that nanoscale confinement and ordered dopant–vacancy complexes stabilize localized O 2p hole polarons at the surface. A canonical ionic

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

Small aromatic ligands are used to synthesize Ni particles between 1 and 4.4 nm. After deposition on various supports, an alkylating agent and subsequent reduction procedure are used to remove the ligands. On SiO2, the Ni particles remained small, but on Al2O3 they sintered severely.

Mechanically activated ceria [PDF]
The reduction of comercial and mechanically activatedCeO2 powder at 1200 °C in an argon atmosphere was examined by XRD. Mechanical activation of oxide powder was performed by milling in a vibratory mill for different lengths of time. During 30 min of milling it came to the greatest change in crystallite size, as well as of lattice distortion of CeO2 ...
