A Mononuclear Ruthenium(V)‐Imido Complex With Hydrogen Bonding in the Second Coordination Sphere Forming Aziridines Without N‐Substituents From Alkenes in Water

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This study employs a RuV═NH complex with hydrogen‐bonding (HB) sites in the SCS to afford non‐N‐substituted aziridines selectively. Nitrogen‐atom transfer occurs from the RuV═NH complex to alkenes in water to produce aziridine derivatives in high yields.

Rare‐Earth Mediated Engineering in ZnSe@ZnS:Eu3+ to Simultaneously Achieve Structural Modulation and Atomic Eu Doping Sites for X‐Ray Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual hard‐base anchoring strategy was developed to synthesize ZnSe@ZnS:Eu3+ quantum dots, leveraging fluoride‐oleylamine interactions to create surface atomic Eu doping sites. By precisely tuning temperature, Eu3+ concentration, and fluoride levels, we obtain morphologies ranging from tip growth to coupled flower‐like structures.

Beyond d‐Band Catalysis: A Critical Review and Descriptor Framework for Rare‐Earth Engineering in Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Rare‐earth catalysts regulate lithium–sulfur battery chemistry through f‐orbital–mediated interactions, enabling simultaneous polysulfide adsorption and catalytic conversion on conductive carbon hosts. This synergistic control suppresses the shuttle effect, accelerates redox kinetics, and guides stable Li2S nucleation, providing a mechanistic framework

Accommodation of Cerium and Neodymium Oxides into Alumina.

open access: yesJournal of Nuclear Science and Technology, 1994
Alumina was studied on its applicability for a host material to incorporate lanthanide and actinide elements present in HLW. Alumina-based waste forms containing about 8 mol% in all of Ce203 and/or Nd203 were prepared by firing at 1,500°C for 25 h in a reducing atmosphere, after drying and denitrating the mixed solutions of aluminum, cerium and/or ...

Unusual Thermally Induced Blueshift and Emission Amplification of Mn2+ Ions Enable Filter‐Free Luminescent Thermal Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The shift from point‐based thermal sensing to filter‐free thermal imaging requires luminescent thermometers that exhibit pronounced and thermally driven spectral changes within spectral regions matching the sensitivity profiles of the red, green and blue (RGB) channels of a digital camera.
