In this work, the mechanical properties of Mo3NiB3 and Mo2NiB2 phases in Mo-Ni-B cermets were studied. The first-principles calculation results demonstrate the thermodynamic and mechanical stability of both Mo3NiB3 and Mo2NiB2.
