Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

DEVELOPMENT AND CHARACTERIZATION OF HIGH-PERFORMANCE TiC AND TiN CERMETS
‘Cermets’ are engineered composites that combine ceramic and metallic phases to generate materials that, typically, exhibit both high hardness and toughness. Because of this combination of constituents, cermets can exhibit a moderately low coefficient of

The Influence of Sintering Temperature of Reactive Sintered (Ti, Mo)C-Ni Cermets
Titanium-molybdenum carbide nickel cermets ((Ti, Mo)C-Ni) were produced using high energy milling and reactive sintering process. Compared to conventional TiC-NiMo cermet sintering the parameters for reactive sintered cermets vary since additional ...

A Novel Metal Foam‐Supported Solid Oxide Fuel Cell With High Specific Power
Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) employing metal foam supports with an ultrahigh porosity of 90% and average pore size of 100 µm are successfully fabricated. The metal foam architecture significantly enhances gas diffusion coefficients, effectively reducing concentration polarization while simultaneously decreasing areal mass.

Electrodeposition of cermets [PDF]
Modern engineering requirements are frequently near the limits of application of conventional materials. For many purposes, particularly tribological, the most satisfactory solution is frequently the application of a resistant coating to the surface of a common metal.

A heterostructured CeZrOx/NiO‐Ni inverse catalyst is designed for highly efficient photothermal CO2 methanation under low‐intensity light without auxiliary heating. It achieves 464 mmol·gcat−1·h−1 methane space‐time yield under natural concentrated sunlight, maintains stability over light‐dark cycles and extended air storage, and is scalable to 100 g ...
