Immobilization of laccase from Cerrena unicolor on controlled porosity glass
Journal of Molecular Catalysis B: Enzymatic, 1999White-rot basidiomycete Cerrena unicolor grown in non-induced and induced conditions was tested for production of laccase, lignin peroxidase (LiP) and manganese-dependent peroxidase (MnP). A typical correlation between the concentration of phenolic compounds in the culture fluid and the extracellular laccase activity was observed.

Kinetics of the enzymatic decolorization of textile dyes by laccase from Cerrena unicolor
Dyes and Pigments, 2008Abstract This study deals with the laccase-catalyzed decolorization of azo and anthraquinone dyes. Both purified laccase (Lacc I and Lacc II) as well as the crude enzyme from the white-rot fungus Cerrena unicolor were used to convert the dyes at pH 3.5 (optimum of laccase activity) in aqueous solution.

The present study aimed to identify a pair of fungal strains that promote laccase production in the co-cultivation of white-rot basidiomycetes and to determine the optimum conditions to enhance enzyme synthesis under co-fermentation of mandarin peels. Co-cultivation of Cerrena unicolor with Trametes versicolor, Lenzites betulina, and Panus lecomtei led

This work investigated the regulatory role of the interaction between cellobiose dehydrogenase (CDH) and β‐glucosidase (β‐GLU) in the conversion of cellobiose into cellobionolactone or glucose in vitro. To study the regulation, the two enzymes were isolated from the culture medium of the fungus Cerrena unicolor grown on a medium with microcrystalline ...

Catalytic behavior and detoxifying ability of a laccase from the fungal strain Cerrena unicolor
Journal of Molecular Catalysis B: Enzymatic, 1998The kinetics and stability of a laccase isolated and purified from the fungal strain Cerrena unicolor were studied. The enzyme was produced in a great yield without inducers. Kinetic parameters were determined by using 2,2′-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonate) (ABTS) as substrate.

The effect of cadmium (Cd) on fungal growth, Cd bioaccumulation and biosorption, and on the formation of potential heavy metal response indicators such as thiols, oxalate, and laccase was investigated in the white rot fungi Cerrena unicolor andAbortiporus biennis. Only the highest Cd concentration employed (200 microM) inhibited growth of C.

The extracellular laccase of white rot fungus Cerrena unicolor was purified from culture by ion-exchange chromatography on DEAE-Toyopearl column and immobilized on silanized porous glass beads. During bonding procedure 94.35% protein and 100% laccase activity were coupled to the support.

AbstractThe laccase induction in submerged culture of basidiomycete Cerrena unicolor VKM F‐3196 was investigated. Cu2+ at concentration 0.1 mM was an optimum inducer of C. unicolor laccase. Two isoforms of laccase, namely LacC1 and LacC2, were isolated and characterized.
