Effective and complex stimulation of the biodegradation system of fungus Cerrena unicolor by rapeseed meal fermentation [PDF]

open access: yesActa Biochimica Polonica, 2016
The effect of supplementation of medium with rapeseed meal (RM) on production of biotechnologically important enzymes was investigated in submerged cultures of the white rot fungus Cerrena unicolor. The addition of RM (3.5% w/v) distinctly stimulated the activities of laccase, chitinase, and β-glucosidase.

Laccase purified from Cerrena unicolor exerts antitumor activity against leukemic cells. [PDF]

open access: yesOncol Lett, 2016
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is the most commonly observed adult hematological malignancy in Western countries. Despite the fact that recent improvements in CLL treatment have led to an increased percentage of complete remissions, CLL remains an incurable disease.

A novel homodimer laccase from Cerrena unicolor BBP6: Purification, characterization, and potential in dye decolorization and denim bleaching. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
The white-rot fungus Cerrena unicolor BBP6 produced up to 243.4 U mL-1 laccase. A novel laccase isoform LacA was purified; LacA is a homodimer with an apparent molecular mass of 55 kDa and an isoelectric point of 4.7. Its optimal pH was 2.5, 4.0, and 5.5

The Large Scale Production of Cerrena unicolor Laccase on Waste Agricultural Based Media [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University, 2015
The effect of different agriculture waste polysaccharides as an only carbon source in culture medium of wood-degrading basidiomycete Cerrena unicolor C-139 were investigated. The maximal growth and laccase synthesis in shaken flask was observed in mineral salts broth containing potato starch as the carbon source and asparagine as the nitrogen source ...
