A Risk Score for Predicting Postpartum Hemorrhage in Association with Cesarean Delivery
Objective:To determine the prevalence of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) in association with cesarean delivery and to develop a risk score for predicting PPH in women who underwent cesarean delivery based on clinical characteristics. Methods ...

Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathy due to Biallelic Pathogenic Variants in PIGM
ABSTRACT Objective PIGM encodes a critical enzyme in the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)‐anchor biosynthesis pathway. While promoter‐region mutations in PIGM have been associated with a relatively mild phenotype characterized by portal vein thrombosis and absence seizures, recent evidence suggests that coding‐region mutations result in a more severe

This study aims to evaluate the impact of the tryptophan‐derived metabolite indole‐3‐propionic acid (IPA) on lung development and autophagic flux. IPA alleviates hyperoxia‐induced alveolar arrest by promoting autophagosome‐lysosome fusion via inhibition of VAMP8 phosphorylation, which is suggestive of a promising therapeutic target of BPD.

MGM as a Large‐Scale Pretrained Foundation Model for Microbiome Analyses in Diverse Contexts
We present the Microbial General Model (MGM), a transformer‐based foundation model pretrained on over 260,000 microbiome samples. MGM learns contextualized microbial representations via self‐supervised language modeling, enabling robust transfer learning, cross‐regional generalization, keystone taxa discovery, and prompt‐guided generation of realistic,

Cesarean delivery on maternal request and its influencing factors in Chongqing, China
Background A high rate of cesarean delivery has become a cause of global concern. Although the rate of cesarean delivery has declined over recent years, it remains at a high level largely because of cesarean delivery on maternal request (CDMR ...

In trophoblast cells, T/S (TNFα + SM164) activated caspase‐3, which cleaved GSDME to switch apoptosis to pyroptosis, causing cell swelling, membrane rupture, and release of LDH, HMGB1, IL‐1β and IL‐18. These cytokines induced pro‐inflammatory macrophage polarization, which in turn reinforced pyroptotic signaling in trophoblasts, amplifying systemic ...

Post-Cesarean Delivery Analgesia [PDF]
Post-cesarean delivery pain relief is important. Good pain relief will improve mobility and can reduce the risk of thromboembolic disease, which is increased during pregnancy. Pain may also impair the mother's ability to optimally care for her infant in the immediate postpartum period and may adversely affect early interactions between mother and ...

PA accumulates after hypoxic‐ischemic injury and stabilizes the E3 ligase TRIM59 in OPCs. Stabilized TRIM59 enhances ubiquitination and degradation of Olig2, blocking differentiation and causing hypomyelination in PWMI. Modulating PA synthesis restores Olig2 levels, improves myelination, and ameliorates behavioral deficits, defining a metabolically ...
