ABSTRACT Objectives Grotta del Poggio is a key site for exploring the Middle Paleolithic in southern Italy, as it contains a pivotal anthropogenic deposit, mainly attributed to MIS 6, while in the Metal Ages, the cavity was used as a burial place. Excavations in the cave's deposit led to the discovery of a human molar and a human talus.

Comparative Analysis of Protist Communities in Oilsands Tailings Using Amplicon Sequencing and Metagenomics. [PDF]

Protist diversity in oilsands‐associated environments has been used as a reclamation indicator, primarily assessed using the V4 barcode. This study indicates that the V9 barcode identifies previously undetected Amoebozoa, Discoba and Metamonada OTUs, particularly in anaerobic oilsands environments.

Abstract Most Parabasalia are symbionts in the hindgut of “lower” (non‐Termitidae) termites, where they widely vary in morphology and degree of morphological complexity.
