Classification of Platelet‐Activating Anti‐Platelet Factor 4 Disorders
ABSTRACT Introduction The prototypic anti‐platelet factor 4 (PF4) disorder—heparin‐induced thrombocytopenia and thrombosis (HITT)—features immunoglobulin G (IgG) class antibodies that activate platelets, monocytes, and neutrophils in a mainly heparin‐dependent fashion via Fcγ receptor‐dependent cellular activation.

Fully quantitative, mass‐standardised, antibody responses to ten SARS‐CoV‐2 variants show significant variation in immunity profiles or endotypes. The incidence of the complete response to all variants is significantly improved after three vaccinations.

Vaccination with ChAdOx1 nCov‐19 can result in vaccine‐induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT). This phenomenon mimics heparin‐induced thrombocytopenia (HIT), yet it does not require heparin as a trigger.

Summary: Background: Rapid spread of the omicron SARS-CoV-2 variant despite extensive vaccination suggests immune escape. The neutralising ability of different vaccines alone or with natural SARS-CoV-2 infection against omicron is not well-known ...

Sex Differences in Response to Viral Vector Vaccines—Implications for Future Vaccine Design
ABSTRACT Vaccination represents one of the most impactful public health achievements, preventing 3.5 to 5 million deaths annually according to estimates of the World Health Organization. Yet, recent outbreaks of emerging and reemerging infectious diseases highlight the need for rapid and strategic vaccine development using vaccine platforms ...

ABSTRACT Background Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) is a lethal global pandemic that originated in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019. As with other viral infectious diseases, the introduction of an effective vaccine is crucial for stopping the spread of the pandemic. In Iraq the COVID‐19 vaccination campaign started on March 2, 2021.

Secondary Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) Associated with ChAdOx1 Covid-19 Vaccination – A Case Report
Novel mRNA and vector-based covid-19 vaccinations have shown high efficacy in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 infections. Compared with the number of performed vaccinations, rates of severe side effects seem low.

Background Cutaneous lymphomas (CLs) are rare neoplastic skin disorders, primarily of T‐cell origin. Since the widespread rollout of SARS‐CoV‐2 vaccines, several cases of CLs and non‐neoplastic lymphoproliferative disorders (nn‐LPDs) temporally associated with vaccination have been reported, raising concerns about a potential immunologic link ...
