Monopole-antimonopole chains and vortex rings [PDF]
We consider static axially symmetric solutions of SU(2) Yang-Mills-Higgs theory. The simplest such solutions represent monopoles, multimonopoles and monopole-antimonopole pairs. In general such solutions are characterized by two integers, the winding number m of their polar angle, and the winding number n of their azimuthal angle.

On Multiplicative Matrix Channels over Finite Chain Rings
Motivated by physical-layer network coding, this paper considers communication in multiplicative matrix channels over finite chain rings. Such channels are defined by the law $Y =A X$, where $X$ and $Y$ are the input and output matrices, respectively ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
