The Investigation of Forward and Backward Brillouin Scattering in High-
Traditional optomechanical research is rarely studied in compound glass, especially chalcogenide glass. In this paper, the forward and backward Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) is demonstrated for the first time in a chalcogenide glass microsphere ...

POM‐Based Water Splitting Catalyst Under Acid Conditions Driven by Its Assembly on Carbon Nanotubes
A newly‐engineered POM‐based electrocatalyst incorporating non‐innocent counter cations exhibits fast kinetics for either the OER or HER under strongly acidic conditions (1 m H2SO4), depending on whether it is assembled on carbon nanotubes (1@CNT) or physically mixed with them (1/CNT). In water‐splitting tests using a two‐electrode setup, these systems

Photoplastic effects in chalcogenide glasses: A review
A synopsis of the various photoinduced changes of rheological, mechanical and elastic properties is presented in the first part of the article. After a critical appraisal of a large body of experimental data it suggested that the photoviscous effect ...

Hypervalency in amorphous chalcogenides
AbstractThe concept of hypervalency emerged as a notion for chemical bonding in molecules to explain the atomic coordination in hypervalent molecules that violates the electron-octet rule. Despite its significance, however, hypervalency in condensed phases, such as amorphous solids, remains largely unexplored.

Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Broadband stimulated four-wave parametric conversion on a tantalum pentoxide photonic chip [PDF]
We exploit the large third order nonlinear susceptibility (?(3) or “Chi 3”) of tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) planar waveguides and realize broadband optical parametric conversion on-chip.

A Colloidal Quantum Dot Thermistor and Bolometer
This work introduces colloidal quantum dot thermistors employing a potential barrier structure to tune the activation energy of transport and hence the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR). Upon integration with plasmonic absorbers, the CQD‐based bolometer device enables room‐temperature wavelength‐selective photodetection across the mid‐ to ...
