Influence of substitutional disorder on the electrical transport and the superconducting properties of Fe$_{1+z}$Te$_{1-x-y}$Se$_{x}$S$_{y}$ [PDF]
We have carried out an investigation of the structural, magnetic, transport and superconducting properties of Fe$_{1+z}$Te$_{1-x-y}$Se$_x$S$_y$ ceramic compounds, for $z=0$ and some specific Se (0$\leq$ x $\leq$ 0.5) and S (0 $\leq$ y $\leq$0.12 ...

Polymorph engineering in ErMnO3 enables low‐voltage, forming‐free threshold switching with tunable negative differential resistance. Conducting orthorhombic regions embedded in an insulating hexagonal matrix provide controlled Joule‐heating‐enhanced Poole–Frenkel transport. The hexagonal phase prevents excessive heating and breakdown.

Local motifs in GeS$_2$-Ga$_2$S$_3$ glasses [PDF]
The structure of (GeS$_2$)$_{0.75}$(Ga$_2$S$_3$)$_{0.25}$ and (GeS$_2$)$_{0.83}$(Ga$_2$S$_3$)$_{0.17}$ glasses was investigated by Raman scattering, high energy X-ray diffraction and extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) measurements at the Ga

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

Comparison of loss in silica and chalcogenide negative curvature fibers as the wavelength varies
We computationally study fiber loss in negative curvature fibers made with silica, As2S3 chalcogenide, and As2Se3 chalcogenide glasses with a fixed core-diameter-to-wavelength ratio of 30. We consider both simple and nested geometries as the transmission

Optimization of optical properties of Ge20Sb5Se75-based photonic crystal fibers
In this paper, we present a new design of solid-core photonic crystal fiber (PCF), a Ge20Sb5Se75 substrate with a hexagonal lattice structure. The fiber characteristics are studied in the long-wavelength range (from 1.5 µm to 7.0 µm).

Chalcogenide Glass-on-Graphene Photonics [PDF]
Two-dimensional (2-D) materials are of tremendous interest to integrated photonics given their singular optical characteristics spanning light emission, modulation, saturable absorption, and nonlinear optics.

Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Optical properties of photonic crystal fibers made from Ge23Sb7S70 chalcogenide
In this paper, we investigate a photonic crystal fiber (PCF) of Ge23Sb7S70 chalcogenide with five air-hole rings arranged in a regular hexagonal lattice. Using simulations and numerical analyses, we investigated the influence of structural parameters on
