Numerical studies of the vibrational isocoordinate rule in chalcogenide glasses
Many properties of alloyed chalcogenide glasses can be closely correlated with the average coordination of these compounds. This is the case, for example, of the ultrasonic constants, dilatometric softening temperature and the vibrational densities of ...

A bilayer protection approach is proposed for slowing down the surface potential decay of thin films of spontaneously‐polarized electret materials. The electret and the protective films are characterized, and the protection effectiveness is investigated under the effects of light illumination, water contact and mechanical impact.

Data Transparent and Polarization Insensitive All-Optical Switch based on Fibers with Enhanced Nonlinearity [PDF]
We have developed a data transparent optical packet switch prototype employing wavelength conversion based on four-wave mixing. The switch is composed of an electro-optical control unit and an all-optical switching segment.

A Review of Mid-Infrared Supercontinuum Generation in Chalcogenide Glass Fibers
Chalcogenide glasses have the advantages of a wide transparency window (over 20 μm) and high optical nonlinearity (up to a thousand times greater than that of silica glasses), making them good candidates for mid-infrared supercontinuum generation.

Chalcogenide glasses in optoelectronics
If many electronicnbsp; processes in the crystals are controlled by the redistribution of charge carriers on the separate discrete local levels, then in the chalcogenide semiconductors a quasicontinous distribution of localized states is discovered, which generates a great peculiarity of electronic processes, in particular, in the transport phenomenon,

Unraveling the High‐Rate Electrochemical Kinetics of CuSbS2 for Sodium Storage
This study investigates CuSbS2 as a high‐performance anode material for sodium‐ion batteries. CuSbS2 shows improved capacity retention and rate performance compared to Sb2S3. Various electrochemical techniques, including DRT from in situ EIS and GITT, confirm its enhanced reaction kinetics, underscoring the potential of bimetallic sulfides for next ...
