M-lines characterization of selenide and telluride waveguides for mid-infrared interferometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Nulling interferometry is an astronomical technique that combines equal wavefronts to achieve a deep rejection ratio of an on-axis star, and that could permit to detect Earth-like planets in the mid-infrared band 5 -- 20 microns.

Redox‐Active Tungsten Mono‐Oxo Bis(dithiolene) Complex: A Fast‐Rechargeable Anode for High‐Capacity Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports the first application of a W‐oxo bis(dithiolene) complex, (Et4N)2[WO(S2C2(C6H5)2)2], as a novel anode material for lithium‐ion batteries. This complex stores Li+ ions via multivalent W‐centered redox processes involving its oxo (WO) and dithiolene (S) sites.

Glass Transition Temperature and Mean Bond Energy of Chalcogenide Glasses in the As2Se3-GeTe-CdTe System

open access: yesInorganics
Chalcogenide samples from the As2Se3-GeTe-CdTe system were synthesized by the melt-quench technique. The surface topography of some of the samples was performed with the help of scanning electron microscopy.
