The use of phosphine chalcogenides in the preparation of cobalt chalcogenides

Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1993
Abstract Dicobalt octacarbonyl reacts with TeP n Bu 3 , SeP n Bu 3 or SP n Bu 3 to give solid state cobalt telluride, cobalt selenide and cobalt sulfide, respectively. In each case a cluster compound of the form Co 6 E 8 (P n Bu 3 ) 6 can be isolated from the reaction of the phosphine chalcogenide with cobalt carbonyl, and subsequently carried on

CHALCOGENIDE CENTERED GOLD COMPLEXES

Comments on Inorganic Chemistry, 2006
Chalcogenide-centred gold complexes are an important class of compounds in which a central chalcogen is surrounded by several gold atoms or gold and other metals. They have special characteristics such as unusual geometries, electron deficiency and properties such as luminescence or non-linear optical properties.

Chalcogenide clusters of copper and silver from silylated chalcogenide sources

Chem. Soc. Rev., 2013
This review summarizes the rich structural variety of copper and silver chalcogenide clusters with protecting ligand shells of phosphane and/or organic ligands that were generated starting out from silylated chalcogenide sources. This route turned out to be fairly selective and thus allows for the isolation of uniform, polynuclear to nanosized cluster ...

Phosphine chalcogenides

2010
This chapter gives an account of the newer developments on the synthesis and reactivity of phosphine chalcogenides, mainly oxides and sulfides. A series of new synthetic methods for phosphine oxides is discussed, followed by preparations utilizing simple P-reagents such as P(iii)- and P(v)-chlorides, and >P(O)H species.

Chalcogenide coatings of Ge_15Sb_20S_65 and Te_20As_30Se_50

Applied Optics, 2007
Chalcogenide coatings are investigated to obtain either optical components for spectral applications or optochemical sensors in the mid-infrared. The deposition of Ge(15)Sb(20)S(65) and Te(20)As(30)Se(50) chalcogenide glasses is performed by two physical techniques: electron-beam and pulsed-laser deposition.

Chalcogenide Superconductors -- A Search.

1994
Abstract : Experimental and theoretical evidence and arguments are presented to justify a search for new superconductors, similar to the perovskite- based high temperature superconductors, but with the oxygen replaced by a chalcogen, that is sulfur, selenium or tellurium.

Atomic Engineering of Chalcogenide Layer in Transition Metal Chalcogenides

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2017
Atomically thin transition metal chalcogenides (TMDs), members of two-dimensional (2D) material family, have received great attention due to their novel optoelectronic and electronic properties. CVD technique have been well developed to synthesize monolayer TMDs, such as MoS2, WS2, WSe2, and MoSe2 where transition metals are sandwiched by the same ...
