Proceedings of the Prehistoric Society, 1979The Nympsfield chambered tomb or long barrow (NGR SO 79390132) is situated to the north-west of Nympsfield village, in the parish of Frocester, and occupies a position on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment. The tomb is at 237 m (777 ft) above Ordnance Datum, on a slight eminence, and lies on a bedrock of Inferior Oolite limestone.
