Learnable Chamfer Distance for point cloud reconstruction
As point clouds are 3D signals with permutation invariance, most existing works train their reconstruction networks by measuring shape differences with the average point-to-point distance between point clouds matched with predefined rules. However, the static matching rules may deviate from actual shape differences.

Appearance Radii in Medial Axis Test Mask for Small Planar Chamfer Norms
. The test mask TM is the minimum neighbourhood sufficient to extract the medial axis of any discrete shape, for a given chamfer distance mask M. We propose an arithmetical framework to study TM in the case of chamfer norms.
