Directional Chamfer Matching in 2.5 Dimensions
IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2013Directional chamfer matching (DCM) has shown good results in many areas such as object recognition and pose estimation. Currently DCM has been applied only for two-dimensional (2-D) matching. In this letter, we present a DCM scheme that utilizes depth in addition to 2-D input, which we refer to as 2.5D DCM.

Rendering chamfering structures of sharp edges
The Visual Computer, 2014In most realtime applications such as 3D games, in order to reduce the complexity of the scene being rendered, objects are often made by simple and large primitives. Thus, the phenomenon of edge highlighting, which would require chamfering structures made by lots of small patches at the seaming, is absent and is often faked by "highlights" drawn on the

Chip Formation With Chamfered Tools
Journal of Engineering for Industry, 1982The paper deals with the effect of chamfers on the tool edge on the chip formation process. It is found that both in continuous cutting and in the exit phase of interrupted cutting where chamfers are mostly used the chip formation process is not very different from that obtained with nonchamfered tools.

An Improved Method for Oriented Chamfer Matching
2013Oriented Chamfer Matching is much more tolerable to detect object in images with clustered background. However, it is till more reliable on object template. Focused on this problem, this paper proposed a method flexibly creating deformable templates. The multiple deformable templates were created through simulating the 3D perspective projection of 2D ...
