The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

SSTGCNs: Spectral–Spatial–Temporal Long-Range Dependencies Joint Feature Extraction With Graph Convolutional Networks for Adaptive Change Detection

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Hyperspectral image change detection plays an important role in ground observation tasks, making full use of the rich spectral and spatial information in the bitemporal hyperspectral to identify subtle changes in the surface.

Integration of circadian and hypoxia signaling via non‐canonical heterodimerization

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CLOCK, BMAL1, and HIFs are basic helix‐loop‐helix and Per‐Arnt‐Sim domain (bHLH‐PAS) proteins, which function as transcription factors. bHLH‐PAS proteins are designated in two classes. Many class I proteins are regulated by environmental signals via their PAS domains, but such signals have not been identified for all.

LULC change detection and future LULC modelling using RF and MLPNN-Markov algorithms in the uMngeni catchment, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

open access: yesFrontiers in Environmental Science
Water catchment areas are the key strategic water sources with a variety of ecological benefits. However, the trajectory of Land Cover and Land Use Changes (LULC-C change poses a significant threat to water catchment areas, negatively affecting water ...

Substrate specificity of Burkholderia pseudomallei multidrug transporters is influenced by the hydrophilic patch in the substrate‐binding pocket

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Multidrug transporters BpeB and BpeF from the Gram‐negative pathogen Burkholderia pseudomallei have a hydrophilic patch in their substrate‐binding pocket. Drug susceptibility tests and growth curve analyses using an Escherichia coli recombinant expression system revealed that the hydrophilic patches of BpeB and BpeF are involved in the substrate ...

Advancing Self-Supervised Learning for Building Change Detection and Damage Assessment: Unified Denoising Autoencoder and Contrastive Learning Framework

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Building change detection and building damage assessment are two essential tasks in post-disaster analysis. Building change detection focuses on identifying changed building areas between bi-temporal images, while building damage assessment involves ...
