Trellis coding for degraded broadcast channels
Information and Control, 1978 Superposition trellis coding is considered for a two-receiver degraded broadcast channel. A coding theorem is proved that shows the existence of reliable superposition codes at all rates within the capacity region using Viterbi decoding at both receivers.
