Broadcast Channels With Privacy Leakage Constraints [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2017
The broadcast channel (BC) with one common and two private messages with leakage constraints is studied, where leakage rate refers to the normalized mutual information between a message and a channel symbol string. Each private message is destined for a different user and the leakage rate to the other receiver must satisfy a constraint.

Baseband Transceiver Design of a High Definition Radio FM System Using Joint Theoretical Analysis and FPGA Implementation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2014
Advances in wireless communications have enabled various technologies for wireless digital communication. In the field of digital radio broadcasting, several specifications have been proposed, such as Eureka-147 and digital radio mondiale (DRM).

Code design for MIMO broadcast channels [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications, 2006
Recent information-theoretic results show the optimality of dirty-paper coding (DPC) in achieving the full capacity region of the Gaussian multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) broadcast channel (BC). This paper presents a DPC based code design for BCs.

The State-Dependent Semideterministic Broadcast Channel [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2012
We derive the capacity region of the state-dependent semideterministic broadcast channel with noncausal state-information at the transmitter. One of the two outputs of this channel is a deterministic function of the channel input and the channel state, and the state is assumed to be known noncausally to the transmitter but not to the receivers. We show

Towards green communication in 5G systems: Survey on beamforming concept

open access: yesIET Communications, 2021
Connectivity in recent wireless communication is accessible anywhere because of the large footprints of both cellular and WiFi networks. Yet, the broadcasting in wireless technology increases the susceptibility of signals to contemporary challenges such ...

Source Broadcasting to the Masses: Separation has a Bounded Loss

open access: yes, 2014
This work discusses the source broadcasting problem, i.e. transmitting a source to many receivers via a broadcast channel. The optimal rate-distortion region for this problem is unknown.

Quantum Cloning, Eavesdropping and Bell's inequality [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We analyze various eavesdropping strategies on a quantum cryptographic channel. We present the optimal strategy for an eavesdropper restricted to a two-dimensional probe, interacting on-line with each transmitted signal.

Performance evaluation of MIMO broadcast systems for advanced digital terrestrial TV

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2021
The transmission performance of spatial multiplexing cross-polarized MIMO is studied to determine how to increase the capacity of digital terrestrial broadcasting and make it more robust.

Distributed MIMO Schemes for the Future Digital Video Broadcasting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
International audienceThis paper studies the application of distributed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), i.e. MIMO transmission over several geographically separated but cooperated transmitters, for future TV broadcasting systems. It is first shown
