Secure information broadcasting analysis in an indoor VLC system with imperfect CSI

open access: yesIET Communications, 2021
In this paper, the physical layer security of an indoor visible light communication system, that consists of two transmission light‐emitting diodes to broadcast the information towards the legitimate user, is investigated. Further, a secure LED selection

Source Broadcasting to the Masses: Separation has a Bounded Loss

open access: yes, 2014
This work discusses the source broadcasting problem, i.e. transmitting a source to many receivers via a broadcast channel. The optimal rate-distortion region for this problem is unknown.

Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

Inductive‐Associative Meta‐learning Pipeline with Human Cognitive Patterns for Unseen Drug‐Target Interaction Prediction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Predicting unseen drug‐target interactions is challenging. BioBridge presents an Inductive‐Associative pipeline inspired by scientists' workflow. It combines transferable binding principles, learned via multi‐level encoders and adversarial training, with insights from weakly related references through meta‐learning.

Unequal Error Protected JPEG 2000 Broadcast Scheme with Progressive Fountain Codes

open access: yes, 2012
This paper proposes a novel scheme, based on progressive fountain codes, for broadcasting JPEG 2000 multimedia. In such a broadcast scheme, progressive resolution levels of images/video have been unequally protected when transmitted using the proposed ...

End‐to‐End Attention‐Enhanced Transformer for Image Captioning in Biomimetic Wearable Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work proposes an attention‐enhanced transformer for image captioning, improving multiregion feature representation and future‐context decoding, achieving 2.1 CIDEr gain and real‐time performance on wearables with low memory and power, ideal for edge deployment in biomimetic visual assistance.

Degrees of Freedom of Time Correlated MISO Broadcast Channel with Delayed CSIT

open access: yes, 2012
We consider the time correlated multiple-input single-output (MISO) broadcast channel where the transmitter has imperfect knowledge on the current channel state, in addition to delayed channel state information. By representing the quality of the current

Optimal Scheduling for Broadcast Erasure Channels with Energy Harvesting Receivers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, an optimal scheduling for broadcasting packets to two receivers over erasure channels with feedback is studied. We propose a probabilistic algorithm for packet broadcasting to two receivers, and it is demonstrated that the algorithm is ...
