On the capacity and normalisation of ISI channels [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE International Conference on Communications, 2003. ICC '03., 2003
We investigate the capacity of various intersymbol interference (ISI) channels with additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). Previous papers showed a minimum E/sub b//N/sub 0/ of -4.6 dB, 3 dB below the capacity of a flat channel, is obtained using water-pouring capacity formulas for the 1+D channel.

Analysis of Massive MIMO Performance in an Indoor Picocell With High Number of Users

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper presents an analysis of the massive multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) channel in an indoor picocell with a high number of active user terminals and a base station consisting of a virtual array with up to one hundred elements.

An Approach for Security Enhancement of Certain Encryption Schemes Employing Error Correction Coding and Simulated Synchronization Errors

open access: yesEntropy, 2022
An approach for the cryptographic security enhancement of encryption is proposed and analyzed. The enhancement is based on the employment of a coding scheme and degradation of the ciphertext.

Convexity of the Capacity of One-Bit Quantized Additive White Gaussian Noise Channels

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this study, the maximum error-free transmission rate of an additive white Gaussian noise channel with a symmetric analog-to-digital converter (ADC) was derived as a composite function of the binary entropy function, Gaussian Q-function, and the square

On the capacity of the noncausal relay channel [PDF]

open access: yes2011 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory Proceedings, 2011
This paper studies the noncausal relay channel, also known as the relay channel with unlimited lookahead, introduced by El Gamal, Hassanpour, and Mammen. Unlike the standard relay channel model, where the relay encodes its signal based on the previous received output symbols, the relay in the noncausal relay channel encodes its signal as a function of ...

Capacity Bounds for Dense Massive MIMO in a Line-of-Sight Propagation Environment

open access: yesSensors, 2020
The use of large-scale antenna arrays grants considerable benefits in energy and spectral efficiency to wireless systems due to spatial resolution and array gain techniques.

On the capacity of MIMO interference channels [PDF]

open access: yes2008 46th Annual Allerton Conference on Communication, Control, and Computing, 2008
The capacity region of a multiple-input-multiple-output interference channel (MIMO IC) where the channel matrices are square and invertible is studied. The capacity region for strong interference is established where the definition of strong interference parallels that of scalar channels.

Chain-Rules for Channel Capacity [PDF]

open access: yes2021 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2021
We show some chain-rules for the capacity of classical-quantum and quantum channels. We use the concept of Nash-Equilibrium in game-theory, and its existence in suitably defined games, to arrive at the chain-rules.

On the Interactive Capacity of Finite-State Protocols

open access: yesEntropy, 2020
The interactive capacity of a noisy channel is the highest possible rate at which arbitrary interactive protocols can be simulated reliably over the channel.

Supporting Survivor‐Centered Care Through Digital Health Integration

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Survivors of childhood cancer face barriers to receiving guideline‐based, long‐term follow‐up care. Two digital tools, Passport for Care (PFC) and Cancer SurvivorLink (SurvivorLink), address complementary gaps by enabling tailored survivorship care plan (SCP) generation, updating, storage, and sharing.
