Measured characteristics of the MIMO wireless channel

IEEE 54th Vehicular Technology Conference. VTC Fall 2001. Proceedings (Cat. No.01CH37211), 2002
This paper presents results from an experimental platform designed to measure the transfer matrix for indoor and outdoor multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels with up to 16 transmit and receive antenna elements. Key aspects of the hardware system and data post-processing techniques are provided.

Influence of acylation on the channel characteristics of gramicidin A

Biochemistry, 1992
The influence of acylation on the conductance, average duration, and channel-forming potency of channels formed by gramicidin A analogues was investigated using single-channel and multichannel techniques. Lauroyl-, myristoyl-, palmitoyl-, stearoyl-, and oleoylgramicidin A were prepared by covalent coupling of that fatty acid to the C-terminal ...

Wormhole detection using channel characteristics

2012 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2012
The potential applications and pervasive nature of mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) has made them an attractive target for attackers. The wireless medium of communication coupled with constrained resources enable attacks which can be executed by a weak adversary.

Characteristics of ultraviolet scattering and turbulent channels

Optics Letters, 2013
The nonline of sight (NLOS) ultraviolet (UV) scattering communication channel and atmospheric optical turbulent channel have been extensively but independently studied in the rich literature. However, the new characteristics of NLOS UV scattering and turbulent channels have not been comprehensively investigated.

Calcium channel characteristics conferred on the sodium channel by single mutations

Nature, 1992
The sodium channel, one of the family of structurally homologous voltage-gated ion channels, differs from other members, such as the calcium and the potassium channels, in its high selectivity for Na+. This selectivity presumably reflects a distinct structure of its ion-conducting pore.

Channel measurements and characteristics for cooperative positioning applications

2012 International Conference on Localization and GNSS, 2012
We have conducted an indoor channel measurement campaign to characterize the propagation channel for the development of cooperative positioning algorithms. The campaign focused particularly on the characteristics of multi-link channels with applications to positioning.

ANALYSIS OF AERODYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS IN THE TUNNEL KILN CHANNEL WHEN CHANGING THE GEOMETRIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CHANNEL

Innovative Solution in Modern Science, 2019
The article is devoted to the analysis of the influence of tunneling channel height change on its aerodynamic characteristics by modeling the velocity and pressure distribution of air and furnace gases. Three variants of the tunnel geometry were considered: basic, with reduced height in the firing zone and with reduced height along the entire length of

The influence of degeneracy in the channel on long-channel MOSFET characteristics

IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1987
Fermi-Dirac statistics are incorporated into the Pao-Sah model of the MOS transistor. This modification changes the description insignificantly. The comparison of characteristics computed with the use of Fermi-Dirac and Maxwell-Boltzmann statistics shows that the use of the latter causes small errors even in the case of transistors with extremely thin ...

Analysis of Channel Characteristic for Body Channel Communication Transceiver Design

2019
In this paper, body channel communication and its channel characteristic are investigated through measurement. Previously, the body channel communication has limitation in channel bandwidth due to its fluctuation. To verify orientation, 4 independent systemic factors are under test; (1) the size of the signal electrode attaching on the skin, (2) the ...

Transmission Characteristics of the SOFAR Channel

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1970
The transmission of long single-frequency pulses of sound in the deep sound channel is described. Pulses of 2-sec duration and 778-Hz carrier frequency were transmitted for ranges up to 270 km in the area south of Bermuda. The measurements include the attenuation coefficient, transition range, and horizontal small-scale spatial variation.
