Hydrodynamic characteristics of bodies in channels
Journal of Fluid Mechanics, 1993The effect of channel walls on the hydrodynamic characteristics of fixed or oscillating bodies is discussed using classical linear water wave theory. Particular attention is paid to the occurrence of trapped modes persisting local to the fixed body and which are manifested in a non-uniqueness of the corresponding forced problem at the trapped mode ...

Propagation channel cluster characteristics
2007 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2007In this paper, propagation channel cluster characteristics, such as azimuth angle spread, lifetimes, and polarization properties, were analysed. All the analysed data was measured in typical urban microcellular environment, and the parameters of the clusters were extracted manually after beamforming processing. The AS difference between LOS and NLOS in

Research of communication channel characteristics
2020The questions of studying the amplitude and phase characteristics of communication channels of radio engineering systems are considered. As part of the research, a homodyne method for converting microwave signals is proposed, which makes it possible to measure amplitude and phase fluctuations with high accuracy and with the utmost simplicity of ...

Studies on channel models and channel characteristics for mobile broadcasting
2008 IEEE International Symposium on Broadband Multimedia Systems and Broadcasting, 2008This paper presents a comparison of laboratory measurements and field trials in two networks and three different use cases for mobile TV. The channel models for pedestrian outdoor, vehicular urban and motorway rural are compared to the conventional 6-tap typical urban (TU6) channel model and to corresponding field measurements.

UWB antennas and channel characteristics
2010 IEEE International Conference on Wireless Information Technology and Systems, 2010Spectrum is presently one of the most valuable goods world-wide, as the demand is permanently increasing and it can be traded only locally. Since the United States FCC has opened the spectrum from 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz - i.e., a bandwidth of 7.5 GHz - for unlicensed use with up to −41.25 dBm/MHz EIRP, numerous applications in communications and sensor ...

Appexdix I: Channeling Characteristics
1972This method is used for determining the channeling characteristics of lubricants at low temperature. It consists of storing the sample for 18 hours at the temperature required by the specification, cutting a channel in the lubricant with a metal strip, and determining whether the lubricant flows together to cover the bottom of the container within 10 ...
