Characterization of Calcium Channel Binding

Current Protocols in Pharmacology, 2001
AbstractVoltage‐dependent calcium channels are expressed in a variety of tissues including heart, muscles and brain. Saturation binding of a radioligand to the calcium channel is commonly used to characterize the expression level of the channel protein.

Characterization of channel-forming peptide nanostructures

Biophysical Chemistry, 2012
We have prepared fluorescent analogs of known ion-channel-forming synthetic peptide nanostructures. These analogs were designed as probes to gain insight about the mechanism by which self-assembling amphiphilic peptides interact with lipid membranes. Conformational studies demonstrated that the labeled analogs retain their propensity to adopt a strong ...

Characterization for Series-Parallel Channel Graphs

Bell System Technical Journal, 1981
Channel graphs are often used to describe the connecting paths between a pair of terminals in a link system. Series-parallel (SP) channel graphs and Takagi graphs are special classes of channel graphs heavily studied in the literature. In this paper, we give a noninductive definition of SP channel graphs which we prove to be equivalent to the usual ...

Channel characterization using jitter measurements

2013 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS2013), 2013
This paper proposes a technique for characterization of the frequency-dependent losses in a wireline communications link. By using the measured jitter at the output of a receiver front-end as its only input, this method is able to estimate both the pulse response and frequency response of the link, including the effects of the transmitter output, the ...

Directional UWB channel characterization

2008 International Conference on Computer and Communication Engineering, 2008
In Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless systems, multipath components have different waveforms depending on the used antennas and the angles of transmission and reception. Multi-template subtractive deconvolution is modified and applied to an extensive channel measurement campaign.

Channel Characterization & Modelling

2001
The transition from second generation mobile systems to third generation naturally involved the necessity towards smaller cell radii. Therefore the demand and standards on measurement systems and wave propagation models have changed in dependance on the properties of the propagation environment models.

Characterizing Intra-Car Wireless Channels

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2009
This paper describes the methodology and results of a series of experiments performed to characterize intra-car wireless channels. Specifically, the experiments target parameters such as the coherence time, statistics of channel loss, and fade statistics.

Channel Characterization for Mobile Satellite Communications

1995
This paper concentrates on channel modelling for mobile personal satellite systems. A single-environment channel model is introduced suitable to quasi-stationary flat-flat channels. The model is compared with results taken from the literature. Also a two-state generative channel model with parameters fitted from measurements is presented.

MIMO Channel Characterization and Optimization

2008 6th National Conference on Telecommunication Technologies and 2008 2nd Malaysia Conference on Photonics, 2008
In recent years, wireless telecommunications have become more important. While signal processing and coding is important for wireless telecommunication, multiple input multiple-output (MIMO) channel characterization is a major factor to improve the performance. This paper will focus on MIMO channel characterization and optimization.
