The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Parametric channel estimation for massive MIMO

open access: yes, 2017
Channel state information is crucial to achieving the capacity of multi-antenna (MIMO) wireless communication systems. It requires estimating the channel matrix.

UWB channel measurements in an industrial environment [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2004. GLOBECOM '04., 2005
In this paper, we present the (to our knowledge) first measurement results for ultra-wideband channels in industrial environments, i.e., a factory hall. The measurements are done with virtual arrays, which allows analysis of the small-scale fading statistics, as well as a directional analysis. We find that there is dense multipath scattering due to the

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

A Lipid Bilayer Formed on a Hydrogel Bead for Single Ion Channel Recordings

open access: yesMicromachines, 2020
Ion channel proteins play important roles in various cell functions, making them attractive drug targets. Artificial lipid bilayer recording is a technique used to measure the ion transport activities of channel proteins with high sensitivity and ...

Deep Learning Based NLOS Identification with Commodity WLAN Devices

open access: yes, 2017
Identifying line-of-sight (LOS) and non-LOS (NLOS) channel conditions can improve the performance of many wireless applications, such as signal strength-based localization algorithms.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Cluster Analysis of Pedestrian Mobile Channels in Measurements and Simulations

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
In wireless communication systems, channels evolve when user terminals move. To further understand channel variation, and especially the evolution of clusters in mobile channels, a set of experiments was designed.

LDPC Codes for Partial-Erasure Channels in Multi-Level Memories

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we develop a new channel model, which we name the $q$-ary partial erasure channel (QPEC). QPEC has a $q$-ary input, and its output is either one symbol or a set of $M$ possible values.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a
