Stronger Polarization for the Deletion Channel
In this paper we show a polar coding scheme for the deletion channel with a probability of error that decays roughly like $2^{-\sqrtΛ}$, where $Λ$ is the length of the codeword. That is, the same decay rate as that of seminal polar codes for memoryless channels. This is stronger than prior art in which the square root is replaced by a cube root.

Polar Codes for Broadcast Channels [PDF]
Polar codes are introduced for discrete memoryless broadcast channels. For $m$-user deterministic broadcast channels, polarization is applied to map uniformly random message bits from $m$ independent messages to one codeword while satisfying broadcast constraints.

Polar coding for fading channels [PDF]
A polar coding scheme for fading channels is proposed in this paper. More specifically, the focus is Gaussian fading channel with a BPSK modulation technique, where the equivalent channel could be modeled as a binary symmetric channel with varying cross-over probabilities.

Polar Codes and Polar Lattices for Independent Fading Channels [PDF]
In this paper, we design polar codes and polar lattices for i.i.d. fading channels when the channel state information is only available to the receiver. For the binary input case, we propose a new design of polar codes through single-stage polarization to achieve the ergodic capacity.

Experimental Characterization of Polarized Light Backscattering in Fog Environments
This paper focuses on the experimental characterization of the polarization behavior of light backscattered through fog. A polarimetric orthogonal state contrast imager and an active, purely polarized white illuminator system are used to evaluate both ...

Some limitations of evaluating dual-polarized MIMO channel capacity
This article discusses possible bandwidth limitations of a radio access channel using MIMO technology with polarization-orthogonal channels, or dual polarization channels. The main attention is paid to the presence of cross-polarization isolation between
