Using Polarization-Diverse Wave-Coefficients for Aerospace Target Recognition

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Wave-coefficients (WCs) based target recognition can be theoretically applied to any a frequency range, with increased sensitivity to aspect angle at higher frequencies.

Utilizing Non-Orthogonal Polarization With Polarization Reuse Technique for 4 × 4 MIMO Capacity Enhancement

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
5G communication promises fast and large data stream which requires higher capacity of a cellular wireless network. A higher capacity could be achieved with wider bandwidth and network densification, but they are expensive approaches.

Optimizing Membrane Distillation Performance through Flow Channel Modification with Baffles: Experimental and Computational Study

open access: yesSeparations, 2023
It has been identified that temperature polarization and concentration polarization are typical near-surface phenomena limiting the performance of membrane distillation. The module design should allow for effective flow, reducing the polarization effects

Investigation of underwater quantum channels in a 30 meter flume tank using structured photons

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2020
Underwater quantum communication has recently been explored using polarization and orbital angular momentum (OAM). Here, we show that spatially structured modes, e.g., a coherent superposition of beams carrying both polarization and OAM, can also be used

User Influence on Polarization Characteristics in Off-Body Channels

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This article investigates the impact of the user's body on wearable antenna radiation characteristics and the consequent effects on the off-body channel, with the focus on the polarization aspect.

Polarization of Λ(1405) in the γp → K+πΣ reaction

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2021
In this paper, we study the polarization of the Λ(1405) in the γp→K+πΣ reaction within an effective Lagrangian approach and isobar model. In our model, the Λ(1405) is excited through the t-channel K/K⁎ exchanges and u-channel hyperon exchange.

Polar coding for the general wiretap channel [PDF]

open access: yes2015 IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW), 2015
Information-theoretic work for wiretap channels is mostly based on random coding schemes. Designing practical coding schemes to achieve information-theoretic security is an important problem. By applying the two recently developed techniques for polar codes, we propose a polar coding scheme to achieve the secrecy capacity of the general wiretap channel.

A Novel Measurement Method for Spin Polarization Three Axis Spatial Distribution in Spin-Exchange Relaxation Free Atomic Magnetometer

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
The measurement of atomic spin polarization distribution in spin-exchange relaxation free (SERF) magnetometer is an important topic for improving the sensitivity and consistency of multi-channel magnetic field measurement applications.
