Functional forwarding of channel state information

2009 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2009
In large relay networks, the assumption of full and perfect channel knowledge at the destination is optimistic in practice. The fading coefficients are typically measured at the relays but not directly known at the destination. Traditionally, each fading coefficient is individually forwarded to the destination.

Understanding of Channel State Information

2021
Channel State Information (CSI) is one of the major types of data used in wireless sensing, thanks to its fine subcarrier-level granularity and easy access with commodity Wi-Fi devices. While it is feasible to simply process CSI as numeric data, understanding the underlying model can guide the development of more effective wireless sensing algorithms ...

Gaussian interference channel with state information

2011 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, 2011
In this paper, we study the two-user state-dependent Gaussian interference channel, where the Gaussian distributed state information is non-causally known at both transmitters, but unknown to either of the receivers. We focus on the simultaneous encoding scheme and propose an active interference cancelation mechanism, which is a generalized dirty-paper

Broadcasting with channel state information

Processing Workshop Proceedings, 2004 Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal, 2005
We consider the problem of transmit downlink beamforming for wireless transmission in the context of certain broadcasting or multicasting applications wherein channel state information (CSI) is available at the transmitter, and a common message is to be transmitted to the users. Unlike the usual "blind" isotropic broadcasting scenario, the availability

Block Fading Channels with Limited Channel State Information

2010 International Symposium On Information Theory & Its Applications, 2010
In this paper, we provide a lower bound to maximum expected rate for block fading channels with limited Channel State Information (CSI). We assume a channel fading block accommodates at least one codeword so that for block Rayleigh fading, the ergodic channel capacity is zero when no CSI is available at the transmitter.

Wiretap Channel With Two-Sided Channel State Information

2007 Conference Record of the Forty-First Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2007
We consider the problem of secure communication over a (not necessarily degraded) wiretap channel with two-sided channel state information available at the transmitter and the main receiver, respectively. Using the time sharing argument [1], we establish an achievable rate equivocation region for this channel model.

Multiple-Access Channels with Distributed Channel State Information

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2007
This paper considers a multiple-access channel with two state components, where the first sender knows only the first state component, the second sender knows only the second component, and the receiver knows both components. The notion of adaptive-rate capacity is introduced to characterize the set of achievable rates when the state is fixed in each ...

Multiple-access channel capacity region with incomplete channel state information

2010 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2010
In this work we provide an information-theoretic analysis of a Gaussian multiple-input multiple-output multiple access channel (MIMO MAC) with imperfect channel knowledge at the receiver. In particular we derive inner and outer bounds for the rate region of the MIMO MAC when the inputs are Gaussian.

AoI Minimization in Broadcast Channels with Channel State Information

2020 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2020
In this paper, we consider a status updating system where updates are generated at a constant rate at K sources and sent to the corresponding recipients through a broadcast channel. We assume that perfect channel state information (CSI) is available at the transmitter before each transmission, and the additive noise is negligible at the receivers ...
