Energy Reduction with Anticontrol of Chaos for Nonholonomic Mobile Robot System

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
This paper presents energy reduction with anticontrol of chaos for nonholonomic mobile robot system. Anticontrol of chaos is also called chaotification, meaning to chaotify an originally non-chaotic system, and in this paper error of mobile robot system ...

Targetting Chaos through Adaptive Control

open access: yes, 1998
We describe adaptive control algorithms whereby a chaotic dynamical system can be steered to a target state with desired characteristics. A specific implementation considered has the objective of directing the system to a state which is more chaotic or ...

Chaos in a Financial System with Fractional Order and Its Control via Sliding Mode

open access: yesComplexity, 2021
In this paper, the dynamical behaviors and chaos control of a fractional-order financial system are discussed. The lowest fractional order found from which the system generates chaos is 2.49 for the commensurate order case and 2.13 for the incommensurate

Optimal fluctuations and the control of chaos. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The energy-optimal migration of a chaotic oscillator from one attractor to another coexisting attractor is investigated via an analogy between the Hamiltonian theory of fluctuations and Hamiltonian formulation of the control problem.

Corrigendum to “Chaos in a Financial System with Fractional Order and Its Control via Sliding Mode”

open access: yesComplexity, 2021
In this paper, the dynamical behaviors and chaos control of a fractional-order financial system are discussed. The lowest fractional order found from which the system generates chaos is 2.49 for the commensurate order case and 2.57 for the incommensurate

Stabilization of Miscible Aqueous Phases via Diffusion‐Controlled Multifunctional Nanoparticle‐Ligand Complexation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.

How Need-Thwarting Teaching Styles Are Combined for Physical Education Teachers: Differences in Students’ Motivational Outcomes

open access: yesEducation Sciences
Grounded in the circumplex model, this study examined how need-thwarting teaching styles, control and chaos, are combined by Physical Education teachers (as perceived by students) and how these combinations differ in relation to students’ basic ...

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Shil'nikov Chaos control using Homoclinic orbits and the Newhouse region

open access: yes, 2006
A method of controlling Shil'nikov's type chaos using windows that appear in the 1 dimensional bifurcation diagram when perturbations are applied, and using existence of stable homoclinic orbits near the unstable one is presented and applied to the ...
