Rotation of an oblate satellite: Chaos control [PDF]
Aims. This paper investigates the chaotic rotation of an oblate satellite in the context of chaos control. Methods. A model of planar oscillations, described with the Beletskii equation, was investigated.

Polymorph engineering in ErMnO3 enables low‐voltage, forming‐free threshold switching with tunable negative differential resistance. Conducting orthorhombic regions embedded in an insulating hexagonal matrix provide controlled Joule‐heating‐enhanced Poole–Frenkel transport. The hexagonal phase prevents excessive heating and breakdown.

In control systems, chaos is a natural dualistic phenomenon that can be both a beneficial resource to be used and a negative phenomenon to be avoided. The study examines two opposing paradigms: positive chaotic control, which aims to enhance performance,

The interaction between plants and herbivores is one of the most fundamental processes in ecology. Discrete-time models are frequently used for describing the dynamics of plants and herbivores interaction with non-overlapping generations, such that a new

Controlling chaotic transport in a Hamiltonian model of interest to magnetized plasmas [PDF]
We present a technique to control chaos in Hamiltonian systems which are close to integrable. By adding a small and simple control term to the perturbation, the system becomes more regular than the original one.

Non‐Continuous Iridescent Variable Structural Color Based on Metallic Surface Periodic Structures
This study presents an ink‐free laser nanofabrication technique that generates periodic arched microstructures on titanium surfaces, achieving non‐continuous iridescent dual‐color switching. The ridge and side flanks of these structures possess distinct oxide film thicknesses, enabling angle‐dependent selective reflection of specific wavelengths.

On Chaos in the Fractional-Order Discrete-Time Unified System and Its Control Synchronization
In this paper, we propose a fractional map based on the integer-order unified map. The chaotic behavior of the proposed map is analyzed by means of bifurcations plots, and experimental bounds are placed on the parameters and fractional order.

Controlled Quantum State Transfer in a Spin Chain
Control of the transfer of quantum information encoded in quantum wavepackets moving along a spin chain is demonstrated. Specifically, based on a relationship with control in a paradigm of quantum chaos, it is shown that wavepackets with slow dispersion ...

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...
