Transparent, Sprayable Plastic Films for Luminescent Down‐Shifted‐Assisted Plant Growth

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
Spreading the light: A modular approach to down‐shifting europium‐containing polyoxotitanium luminescent cages is developed, allowing their incorporation into sprayable plastic coatings on agricultural greenhouses for accelerated plant growth. Abstract The world's steadily growing population and global heating due to climate change are a threat to food

Topological signature of deterministic chaos in short nonstationary signals from an optical parametric oscillator [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. Lett. 92 (2004) 094101, 2004
Although deterministic chaos has been predicted to occur in the triply resonant optical parametric oscillator (TROPO) fifteen years ago, experimental evidence of chaotic behavior in this system has been lacking so far, in marked contrast with most nonlinear systems, where chaos has been actively tracked and found.

Low‐Noise, Unbiased Ferromagnetic‐Resonance‐Driven Thin‐Film Integrated Giant Magnetoimpedance Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Utilizing a novel (Ni81Fe19/Ti)4/Cu/(Ni81Fe19/Ti)4 thin‐film multilayer with low coercive field, low damping and a superior GMI ratio, a compact, low‐noise unbiased FMR‐driven integrated GMI sensor with a superior magnetic noise performance of ≈100 pT/√Hz is first demonstrated, owing to reduced phase noise from well‐defined aligned magnetic domains and

Research on Chaos and Its Control in Current-mode Switched-inductor Converter

open access: yes机车电传动, 2017
The current-mode controlled switched-inductor Buck-Boost converter operating in discontinuous conduction mode was chosen as the research object. Firstly, according to its the discrete mapping model, the nonlinear dynamic behaviors of circuit system were ...

Complex Characteristics and Control of Output Game in Cross-Border Supply Chains: A Perspective of Inter-Chain Competition

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, an output dynamic game model of intertwined supply chains operating in two different countries is established. The Nash equilibrium point of the model and its stable region are obtained using nonlinear dynamic principles.

Benchmarking quantum chaos from geometric complexity [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 03 (2025) 177
Recent studies have shown that there is a strong interplay between quantum complexity and quantum chaos. In this work, we consider a new method to study geometric complexity for interacting non-Gaussian quantum mechanical systems to benchmark the quantum chaos in a well-known oscillator model.

Experiments with a Malkus-Lorenz water wheel: Chaos and Synchronization

open access: yes, 2012
We describe a simple experimental implementation of the Malkus-Lorenz water wheel. We demonstrate that both chaotic and periodic behavior is found as wheel parameters are changed in agreement with predictions from the Lorenz model.

Anti‐Counterfeiting Tags with Camouflaged QR Codes on Nanocavities, Using Polymer‐Dispersed Liquid Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A QR code, printed through a commercial printer on a thin plastic foil, pre‐coated with a nanocavity is proposed as an anti‐counterfeiting label. Nanocavity imparts distinctive optical properties in terms of light reflection and transmission. A thin layer of polymer‐dispersed liquid crystals (PDLC) is used to camouflage the QR code, that become ...

Chaotic dynamics in a discrete-time predator-prey food chain [PDF]

open access: yesComputational Ecology and Software, 2015
In this paper, we consider a classical discrete-time food chain model describing predators-prey interaction. The Holling type I functional response is used as the uptake for both predators.

Over-limit risk assessment method of integrated energy system considering source-load correlation

open access: yesGlobal Energy Interconnection, 2023
In an integrated energy system, source-load multiple uncertainties and correlations lead to an over-limit risk in operating state, including voltage, temperature, and pressure over-limit. Therefore, efficient probabilistic energy flow calculation methods
