Multiparameter Closed‐Loop Control to Advance Reliability of Aerosol Jet Printing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A multiparameter framework for closed‐loop control of aerosol jet printing is developed to improve process consistency over both short and long timescales. By creating a control architecture responsive to the dynamic behavior of the printing system, variability in functional electrical properties is significantly reduced over extended duration printing,

Chaos and hidden chaos in a 4D dynamical system using the fractal-fractional operators

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
Although fractional calculus is about three centuries old, it has become the key to understanding many complex real-world phenomena. During the past few decades, many fractional derivatives have appeared. Among these, the fractal-fractional derivatives have shown acceptance in describing some real-world problems.

Impact of System‐Model Mismatch in Fourier Ptychographic Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
This study investigates the robustness of Fourier ptychography microscope (FPM) reconstruction algorithms across various scenarios, each representing challenges encountered in practical FPM experiments, and deduces the extent to which FPM can provide diffraction‐limited resolution under the influence of various sources of error.

Stabilisation operations as complex systems order and chaos in the interoperability continuum

open access: yes, 2019
There is little knowledge in regards to the influence of complex systems thinking on the strategic modelling of stabilization operations. To better control the impact of information asymmetry in such context, this study focuses on gaining an understanding on how concepts and principles operate in theory and practice.

Movement Mechanisms Harness Lévy Flight for Energy‐Efficient Wastewater Treatment in Microalgae–Bacteria Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here, our novel model that integrates metabolism with motility dynamics reveals that microalgae shift bacterial movement toward Lévy flight patterns, enhancing encounter rates and self‐aggregation. This microecological manipulation reduces energy costs, strengthens functions such as pollutant removal and system stability.

Hyperelastic Starch Hydrogel Configures Edible and Biodegradable All‐Components for Soft Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hyperelastic starch hydrogel is tailored via a phase separation strategy of solvent‐antisolvent co‐modulation. The mechanical performance of starch hydrogel is widely tuned with maximum strains: 194.4–361.4%; maximum tensile stresses: 34–192 kPa; and Young's moduli: 36.0–205.8 kPa. Notably, the hydrogel achieves complete soil degradation within 24 days

Fractals Analysis of Cardiac Arrhythmias

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2005
Heart rhythms are generated by complex self-regulating systems governed by the laws of chaos. Consequently, heart rhythms have fractal organization, characterized by self-similar dynamics with long-range order operating over multiple time scales.
