Partial dynamical symmetry and the suppression of chaos
Physical Review Letters, 1993Partial dynamical symmetry is a situation in which the Hamiltonian does not have a certain symmetry yet a subset of its eigenstates does. It is shown that partial dynamical symmetry may cause suppression of chaos even in cases where the fraction of states which has the symmetry vanishes in the classical limit.

Suppressing Homoclinic Chaos for Vibro-Impact Oscillators
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2022In this paper, theoretical framework and numerical verification for suppressing homoclinic chaos of a class of vibro-impact oscillators are discussed by adding parametric excitations in the form of [Formula: see text] as the control item. The analytical Melnikov method for planar vibro-impact systems is employed to obtain the corresponding thresholds ...

Reshaping-induced chaos suppression
Physical Review E, 1995We discuss the route for eliminating chaos in nonlinear oscillations by changing only the shape of a periodic force. We consider the Duffing oscillator forced with the Jacobi elliptic function sn and, applying a simple averaging technique, show that the phenomenon of chaos suppression due to reshaping of the driving force may be easily explained as an ...

Effective suppressibility of chaos
Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2013Suppression of chaos is a relevant phenomenon that can take place in nonlinear dynamical systems when a parameter is varied. Here, we investigate the possibilities of effectively suppressing the chaotic motion of a dynamical system by a specific time independent variation of a parameter of our system. In realistic situations, we need to be very careful
