Neuromorphic Photonic Processing and Memory With Spiking Resonant Tunneling Diode Neurons and Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work shows resonant tunneling diode‐based opto‐electronic spiking neurons enabling fast edge detection in time series, a two‐layer photonic spiking neural network for complex classification, and a depth‐tunable photonic spiking memory system. Neuromorphic computing—modeled after the functionality and efficiency of biological neural systems—offers ...

Semiclassical Field Theory Approach to Quantum Chaos

open access: yes, 1996
We construct a field theory to describe energy averaged quantum statistical properties of systems which are chaotic in their classical limit. An expression for the generating function of general statistical correlators is presented in the form of a ...

Review of Memristors for In‐Memory Computing and Spiking Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Memristors uniquely enable energy‐efficient, brain‐inspired computing by acting as both memory and synaptic elements. This review highlights their physical mechanisms, integration in crossbar arrays, and role in spiking neural networks. Key challenges, including variability, relaxation, and stochastic switching, are discussed, alongside emerging ...

Modelling of Metallurgical Processes Using Chaos Theory and Hybrid Computational Intelligence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The main objective of the present work is to develop a framework for modelling and controlling of a real world multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) continuously drifting metallurgical process, which is shown to be a complex system.

Echoes of chaos from string theory black holes

open access: yes, 2017
The strongly coupled D1-D5 conformal field theory is a microscopic model of black holes which is expected to have chaotic dynamics. Here, we study the weak coupling limit of the theory where it is integrable rather than chaotic.

Physical Reservoir Computing for Smart Manufacturing of PCB Using Crystallinity‐Controlled HfO2 Memristor for Reservoir

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
We address multilayer PCB anomaly detection for smart manufacturing by physical reservoir computing with HfO2‐based memristors. Crystallinity‐tuned HfO2 suppresses ferroelectricity while preserving the high‐k insulating state and confers strong short‐term memory.

Chaos in the holographic matrix models for meson and baryon

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
In recent years, the investigation of chaos has become a bridge connecting gravity theory and quantum field theory, especially within the framework of gauge-gravity duality.

Research and Development of a Chaotic Signal Synchronization Error Dynamics-Based Ball Bearing Fault Diagnostor

open access: yesEntropy, 2014
This paper describes the fault diagnosis in the operation of industrial ball bearings. In order to cluster the very small differential signals of the four classic fault types of the ball bearing system, the chaos synchronization (CS) concept is used in ...

Parents' WhatsApp coping resources in the context of ongoing political conflicts: An ecological exploration

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Mobile technologies have become significant resources for crisis communication and social support in recent years. However, despite empirical evidence pointing to the centrality of these technologies for parenthood in everyday life, it is yet unknown how parents' coping resources play a role in the digital environment.
