Grid multi-wing butterfly chaotic attractors generated from a new 3-D quadratic autonomous system

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2014
Due to the dynamic characteristics of the Lorenz system, multi-wing chaotic systems are still confined in the positive half-space and fail to break the threshold limit.

Multiplicity of Limit Cycle Attractors in Coupled Heteroclinic Cycles

open access: yes, 2002
A square lattice distribution of coupled oscillators that have heteroclinic cycle attractors is studied. In this system, we find a novel type of patterns that is spatially disordered and periodic in time.

In Situ Formation of an In–Zn Interface Layer Enables Aqueous Zinc‐Ions Batteries with High Capacity Retention

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates an indium zinc oxide (IZO)‐modified separator applied to aqueous zinc ion batteries (AZIBs), which in situ generates an In–Zn interface layer to stabilize the separator/anode region during the cycling process. The In–Zn interface layer provides richer nucleation sites for Zn2+ and suppresses side reactions.

A Class of Quadratic Polynomial Chaotic Maps and Their Fixed Points Analysis

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
When chaotic systems are used in different practical applications, such as chaotic secure communication and chaotic pseudorandom sequence generators, a large number of chaotic systems are strongly required.

Oscillons: an encounter with dynamical chaos in 1953?

open access: yes, 2011
We present evidences that Ben F. Laposky (1914-2000) might have been the first person who created a family of nonlinear analog circuits that allowed him to observe chaotic attractors and other trademarks of nonlinear science as early as 1953.Comment ...

Robust and Thermally Stable Silicone Aerogels with Hyperconnected Network via Kinetically Optimized Hyperbranched Silane Precursors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Reactivity‐Programmed Assembly: A kinetic‐control strategy is reported for constructing hyperconnected silicone aerogels with a robust “thick‐neck” architecture. By exploiting the reactivity disparity of precursors, flexible segments are uniformly embedded within a rigid skeleton.

Janus‐Type Electrostatic Potential Gradient‐Activated Dynamic Zn2+‐Coordinating Nitrogen Sites in Molecularly Locked Nanocellulose Separators for Stable Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional benzimidazole‐terminated CNF separator is constructed via a PEI‐mediated covalent locking strategy, generating dense zincophilic sites that accelerate Zn2+ transport and desolvation while enabling uniform Zn (002) deposition and suppressing side reactions.

Hidden attractors in fundamental problems and engineering models

open access: yes, 2015
Recently a concept of self-excited and hidden attractors was suggested: an attractor is called a self-excited attractor if its basin of attraction overlaps with neighborhood of an equilibrium, otherwise it is called a hidden attractor.

Memristive Physical Reservoir Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Memristors’ nonlinear dynamics and input‐dependent memory effects make them ideal candidates for high‐performance physical reservoir computing (RC). Based on their conductance modulation, memristors can be classified as electronic or optoelectronic types.
