A Proposal of a New Chaotic Map for Application in the Image Encryption Domain

open access: yes, 2023
Several chaos-based image encryption schemes have been proposed in the last decade. Each encryption scheme has pros and cons regarding its speed, complexity, and security.

Random Delays and the Synchronization of Chaotic Maps [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2005
We investigate the dynamics of an array of logistic maps coupled with random delay times. We report that for adequate coupling strength the array is able to synchronize, in spite of the random delays. Specifically, we find that the synchronized state is a homogeneous steady-state, where the chaotic dynamics of the individual maps is suppressed.

Stochastic webs and quantum transport in superlattices : an introductory review. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Stochastic webs were discovered, first by Arnold for multi-dimensional Hamiltonian systems, and later byChernikov et al. for the low-dimensional case. Generated by weak perturbations, they consist of thread-like regions of chaotic dynamics in phase space.

Construction of a New Discrete Chaotic Mapping Based on the Robust Chaos Theorem

open access: yesMathematics
Chaotic systems serve as fundamental pseudo-random sequence generators in encryption algorithms and play a vital role in communication security. However, most current research still focus on the classical Logistic chaotic map, making it vulnerable to ...

LP-Conjugation: Unraveling Time Series Dynamics through Chaotic Map Convolution

open access: yes, 2023
LP-Conjugation, introduced by Padua and Libao, is a versatile method used in solving the Inverse Frobenius-Perron problem (IFPP) for chaotic systems based on time series data.

ESTIMATING HYPERBOLICITY OF CHAOTIC BIDIMENSIONAL MAPS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2012
We apply to bidimensional chaotic maps the numerical method proposed by Ginelli et al. [2007] to approximate the associated Oseledets splitting, i.e. the set of linear subspaces spanned by the so-called covariant Lyapunov vectors (CLV) and corresponding to the Lyapunov spectrum.

From Determinism and Probability to Chaos: Chaotic Evolution towards Philosophy and Methodology of Chaotic Optimization

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2015
We present and discuss philosophy and methodology of chaotic evolution that is theoretically supported by chaos theory. We introduce four chaotic systems, that is, logistic map, tent map, Gaussian map, and Hénon map, in a well-designed chaotic evolution ...

BER Performance Improvement of Dual Chaotic Maps Based on STBC Communication System

open access: yesAl-Khawarizmi Engineering Journal, 2022
Sensitive information of any multimedia must be encrypted before transmission. The dual chaotic algorithm is a good option to encrypt sensitive information by using different parameters and different initial conditions for two chaotic maps.

A new approach to the treatment of separatrix chaos [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We review an approach to separatrix chaos that has allowed us to solve some significant problems by: (i) finding analytically the maximum width of the chaotic layer, a problem that lay unsolved for 40 years, and showing that the maximum may be much ...
