Stability in Distribution of Randomly Perturbed Quadratic Maps as Markov Processes [PDF]
Iteration of randomly chosen quadtratic maps defines a Markov process: X[subscript n + 1] = epsilon[subscript n + 1] X[subscript n](1 - X[subscript n]), where epsilon[subscript n] are i.i.d.

Stable Neural Signal Recording Processed by Memristor‐Based Reservoir Computing System
This work introduces a memristor‐based reservoir computing (RC) system for real‐time, energy‐efficient processing of neural signals in brain‐machine interface (BMI). Combined with flexible mesh neural probes with tissue‐like flexibility and subcellular‐scale features that enable consistent, long‐term tracking of single‐cell neural activities, the ...

Stochastic webs and quantum transport in superlattices : an introductory review. [PDF]
Stochastic webs were discovered, first by Arnold for multi-dimensional Hamiltonian systems, and later byChernikov et al. for the low-dimensional case. Generated by weak perturbations, they consist of thread-like regions of chaotic dynamics in phase space.

Time‐Delayed Spiking Reservoir Computing Enables Efficient Time Series Prediction
This study proposes time‐delayed spiking reservoir computing (TDSRC) for efficient time series prediction. By concatenating time‐lagged states, TDSRC constructs an expanded readout feature vector without altering internal reservoir dynamics. This approach enables highly accurate forecasting with significantly fewer neurons, providing a resource ...

Abstract This study employs a schizocartographic approach to explore community narratives of space, memory, and violence in Kraaifontein, Cape Town. Through participants' accounts, ordinary places—gardens, shops, blocks, sports grounds, and streets—emerge as ambivalent geographies where trauma, resilience, and belonging intersect.
